Ellen Kraft

Ellen Kraft earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree from University of Oklahoma. She has served as an English Language Learner teacher for Norman Publics for the past twelve years. As an ELL Teacher, Ellen enjoys working with culturally and linguistically diverse students and families from all over the world. Ellen is the Norman Public Schools District Teacher of the Year for 2016-2017.

Ellen is the co-founder of MOSAICOS, a collaborative after school program that provides enrichment and leadership opportunities to Hispanic students and families. In addition, she is passionate about community involvement. In addition to serving on the Smile Education Foundation Board, Ellen serves on the Big Brothers Big Sisters Norman Resource board. Ellen is also a member of LatinasWIN, Leadership Norman class of 2016 member and a recipient of the Norman NEXT Under 40 Award.

Ellen is passionate about providing access to quality education for all children through empowering communities and families. Her hobbies include international travel, volunteering and spending time with her two children.
