Juan is a Senior Analyst at PCI, and has over 4 years of experience in the energy industry. He holds two master’s degrees: a Master of Science in Bioenergy from the University of Oklahoma, US; and a Master of Science in Sustainable Energy Development from the University of Calgary, Canada. His undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from El Bosque University, Colombia.
Juan loves volunteering in social projects that involve children. During the last 10 years, he has volunteered for the NGO CORDHI, which was founded by his family and is located in Ibague. In 2010, Juan led a winning Davis Project for Peace, which impacted the lives of 200 children from Ibague, and was a collaborative effort between CORDHI, SEF and COLSA. He joined Smile Education Foundation as the President of the Assistant Board in 2012. Juan enjoys running, meditating, playing soccer and a number of sports. He believes education should be a right, not a privilege, and defines success as when capability and attitude meet opportunity.
